HKS DP weight

does anyone have an HKS DP sitting around? if so - could you take 5 minutes to throw it on the scales and give me a weight?

10lbs sounds about right. I never did weigh it before putting it on the car but, it is far lighter that the stock pre-cat, thats for sure!

Cheers! but I know what they look like (I have one on my car) - but I didn't fit/handle it. I need a weight before I purchase and ship one to someone (still waiting on a repsonse from HKS).

Couldn't you just estimate the weight. If everyone is saying 10lbs, couldn't you just estimate a shipping weight of around 10-15 lbs. Maybe even 13 lbs.

using japanese EMS rates there can be US$10 difference for a single pound. If it was your part I was shipping would you prefer I charge you an accurate price, or just overcharge $30-$50 to err on the side of caution?

The HKS downpipe for the RX7 is in the 15lbs packaging bracket.

If you dont want to take my word for it -

cheers, but what I was really hoping for was someone who could physically pop one on the scales for me (a lot to hope for, I know).

I've become cynical about shop claims - seems to me that under-quoting part prices and over-quoting shipping is a popular game.

Good point, ebay sellers are notorious for that.

It only makes sense. Anything to pocket extra change without paying ebay a fortune for listing and ending fees.
