hey how can you tell if you blown an apex seal????
hi guys i have a 94 rx7 twin turbo that i love to death. It runs awesome and i have had for the last 7 monthes. I havent had much done to it yet other than a downpipe, and midpipe. My engine is a brand new rebuilt. I'am wondering how can you tell if you have blown an apex seal???? i dont have any problems i'am wondering just for curiosity. The other question is that what is happening when my car is stationed in first gear and the idle goes back and fourth from 1 to 0 , back and fourth. I have just recently installed a midpipe. And the other question is how do you know or what signals do you get if your engine is almost blown

A mid pipe + down pipe with no extra fuel is very unhealthy for your engine!
First off, do you have a boost gauge? If the answer is no, don't floor your car until you get one...
Do you have extra fuel? Reprogrammed ECU? If the answer is no, don't floor your car until you get one...
That's my advice. You don't have to take it... I'll still help you when you're posting on here about "How do I rebuild my engine"
But seriously, I know the car is probably very fast, but incorrect modifications is the fastest way to KILL a rotary. Please be sure you do things the right way.
Signs of blown engine can sometimes include:
rough idle
lack of power to get moving from a stop
hard to start
stalls

Extra fuel?
What do u mean with no extra fuel? I've had my car now for about a year (only driven it personally like 4k miles) and the other day I was pretty low on fuel and it was pretty jerky when I first got in it...other than that no problems ever really. (it was fine once i filled up)

Too much air flow without enough fuel will run the car lean causing detonation.
When you begin to open up the air flow, you need a reprogrammed ECU or an aftermarket one to add more fuel to the mixture.
