HELP!!!! Raw gas smell from engine and lots of smoke
sorta a long story but here goes.
So i just finished my vacuum hose job and a bunch of other stuff . I started the car up for the first in about 6 months. It ran fine during warmup. Then when it reached operating temps i did a couple of WOT runs. Everything was in working order and no everheating whatsoever. a solid 190 on the temp guage. THen when im pulling into my neighborhood the add coolant light goes on and smoke is puring out of my hood. THen while i was pulling it onto the circle i pushed in the clutch and it randomly started redlining. as if i left cruise control on and it didnt turn off when the cluth was pushed in. This scared the crap out of me and i immediately flipped the car off and coasted into my driveway. After it was parked i looked under the car and it was dumping tons of coolant onto the driveway. then i opened the hood and a bunch of gasoline smelling smoke comes billowing out. There is a very strong gas smell coming from around the pressure chamber/alternator area. the smell stays around even if the car i cooled down and there's no more smoke. WHen i looked down there there wasn't any visible moisture of any kind. what the heck is going on. All my purge control lines are connected and all related fuel fum stuff. My aws connector is not connected but i don't think this should effect it at all. I am almost certain i reconnected all the lines when i was putting it back together. I will remove the UIM to make certain of this tommorrow. Please help me this has me so confused

also, the smoke might be coolant because when i was doing vacuum lines i spilled coolant and there's probably little pockets of it around the engine block. I think this could just be that coolant evaporating but i am kind of concerned about it becuase it smells like bad exhaust and gas mixed together.

I'd give you some advice, but I really have no idea what that could be without seeing it in person. Any of us locals are happy to help you look take a look at it. Did you take off the UIM to take another look? Have you tried starting it up again? What work did you do besides the vacuum lines?
