Help Needed On Blitz Water Temp
Hi, i've been trying to find a way to fix this damn water temp gauge.
It is a Blitz guge with a chrome surround... in the back it has 2x wires (i guess for lighting) and a large gauge wire with a coiling wire wrapped around it that attaches down to a temp sensor tapped into the filler neck.
it snapped from the solder point on the sensor when i was rebuilding the engine, and now won't give me a reading... i've pulled it out, looked at everything and i can't even figure out if this is supposed to be mechanical or electrical! there is no where for coolant to be tested within the babling setup, but the coiled wire would ground out electrical right?!
any help? any help!

It's an electrical sensor - I don't think any Japanese gauges are mechanical, save for boost gauges.
You're gonna need to get a replacement sender - you likely won't be able to fix the sender. Or, just buy another gauge - water temp gauges are VERY reasonably priced.
The gauge is too important to rely on a hacked repair to the sender.
While you're at it, move the sender to the TB coolant line. It'll be out of the way, have much less of a failure chance, and give you a better reading.
