Help finish up non-sequential conversion
Well I went for it and started a full non-seq conversion. I took off the turbo control actuator and wired the gate open. I teed the ABV and CRV together, and capped off the connections to the charge relieve actuator. I took off the ACV and made a block off plate.
Now I obviously need to cap some more lines and re-route some others. Here are the pictures, can somebody help me with what needs to happen now?
Thanx!!
Here is the stuff I took off

First, that is still not the full non-squential.
Second, I would leave all the solenoids in and hooked to their harnesses.
You need to search riki's posts from a while back with "non-sequential" keywords.
If the search doesn't work, then go back about 20 pages, and it should be found.

Do a search for non-seq, and thats the full version.

I wish the search function here worked. I know I didn't weld my gate open but besides that why would it not be full non-seq?
I don't need the solenoids because I have a PowerFC.
Thanx!

ahhh. okay hehe.
More info: my list of mods are here: http://www.nopro.com/new_rx7.html
I said I don't need the solenoids since you normally keep them so you don't have to put 300 ohm resistors on to fool the stock ECU.
I know I'm not 100% non-seq since I won't be welding the turbo gates open right now but if I can take care of all the vacuum lines etc then I can do the turbos when I get a downpipe.

If you are going to put it back together for smog purposes why do you just do it the way described on
http://www.dontbearikki.com/id49.htm
Seems like it would be easier to put back together

Just curious, why you are going non-seq?...I am going to do it (in a couple of weeks when I get my MP) just cuz I have a boost problem that I really don't care to diagnose...
I have read the rikki diagram a couple of times...I am guessing that all hoses stay connected to their original location and you only end up t-ing the BOV and CRV, then pluc the TCA and WGC lines...that's what I was planning on doing and leaving evething hooked up to the original locations...
the full non-seq hose diagram is on here somewhere that will show you which hoses go...However, it wouldn't be a good idea to do the full non-seq if you are going to put it back together...

I have a couple reasons to go non-seq
1. no boost on second turbo. I've had so many problems with the control system, even after doing the hose job. It pisses me off.
2. I have a street port that doesn't have much power at lower rpms anyway so I could give a **** about turbo spool time.
3. I was going to go single, and still want to eventually when the funds are there, this seems like a step in the right direction
4. Easier to get to the injectors to put my 1200's on and switch the 550's for 850's.
5. I like to drive either really easy, or really hard. If I keep it under 4K rpms then it is sedate. If I go over that then I want a rocket ship.

Yes I am trying to remove all the solenoids for simplification.
I have a profec a, if I hook that up then I don't even need the one remaining turbo solenoid right?

I don't think you have to get rid of all the solenoids for the simple non-seq conversion...you are probably doing the full non-seq conversion...it's gonna suck to have to replace the solenoids and hoses each time you have to pass test emissions test.

I'm hoping that I can spot someone a C note to look the other way but still pass the dyno test. I'm not doing the full nonseq, since that entails removing the turbos and welding stuff.
I'm doing the Rikki/poor mans non-seq + turbo simplification + removal of smog and double throttle

As you can see in the pic, I took the oil neck, fuel hose mount and coils off, then I used a socket type screwdriver bit to get the screws off, then I wiggled it loose. It was a PITA but I think maybe I didn't put all the screws on when I installed it in the first place (I intstalled that engine myself) so that might have made it easier.
