Help diagnose my problem.... what happened?

you could bring the car back to us at JapTrix and we can do the compression test and check to see if we did indeed build the motor (it does look like one of our previous setups in the video)
either way give me a call at the shop (561)881-8801

well fuego tore it down to find that 3 apex seals on one turbo broke and one chips at the corner on the other rotor. the housing and rotor on the one were badly beat up and my turbo suffered the most and actually had a seal stuck in the wastegate. fuego's "theory" was that my moroso sump and aeromotive A1000 fuel pump w/ 4 - 1680cc injectors didn't provide enough fuel since the A1000 doesn't "pull a lot but pushes good". Anyways... It had mazda factory seals so I am going with atkins and dowling and pinning the motor and going with a little larger port than the current street port while its being rebuilt. This also gives me an excuse to get a larger turbo. considering a gt42r since i heard the 40r sucks on rotarys for some reason. Just thought i would keep you guys posted. Now the car will be back bigger and better than ever looking for big power

it is.... but fd_rey kind of got my in with jose and he takes care of me pretty well. He knows a lot about the rotary itself but absolutely hates twins. He seems to like to work on his or friends cars before anyone else, which i found out the first time i brought in the car to do some work. This time he put everything aside and is going to turn a rebuild in about a week for me. If you were ever to need any techanical work, this guy is not the guy to go to, but for something mechanical, he does pretty cheap labor and that work is pretty solid. FD_Rey had his car built there, made 533whp and never had a problem.

Constant threat
There sure do seem to be a LOT of ****-poor engine builders out there, that for some reason STILL are in business and actually enjoy (perversely) a dedicated clientele.
Personally, I don't consider a shop that has one engine out of 100 last more than 1500 miles 'good'.

that motor was in perfect health when Silvio sold the car to him.....the motor that was in the car when it left silvio's hands was a fresh build with 0 miles....the motor was NOT broken in...and certainly NOT tuned what-so-ever.......Roger @ JapTrix has been building 12a's and 13b's for almost 2 decades now.....with peers such as Cameron Worth and Abel Ibarra, the shop(Japtrix) competed for a few seasons campaigning a Turbo II.....and countless local Rotary's are benefiting from Roger's great builds....i have extended our invitation to bring the car to us for examination but received no acknowledgment to do so....therefore we cannot comment any further on the condition the car is actually in now....but i feel this will not be an easy resurrection for him without an experienced hand helping along the way. I have spoken many times to the previous owner and have confirmed with him that the car was not finished when he turned it over to its current owner....but we know for certain the motor was in proper condition when it went in.
