Hell of a time getting wiring harness back on remanned engine...

I have found 4 plugs so far that can be switched between the same style plugs in the vicinity.... wtf

Any suggestions on getting everything hooked up right?

Yeah, you really can't go by plug. If you haven't kept good records as to where things go, then the next thing to do is use the wiring diagram from the manual, and look at the wire colors that go to the various plugs. It's a lot like a research paper, with different sources being brough together.

I JUST did all this, so it's pretty fresh. Can you describe the plug colors, wire colors, and location in the harness?

I didnt' label anything at all when I installed my reman a few months ago, and didn't have any problems... everything kind of lined up since the harness was so baked and rigid. Like spurvo said, if you can describe the plugs we might be able to help. As I recall, the two solenoids that bolt to the front of the UIM have the same plug. Also, the knock sensor and a plug for the AC compressor (I think?) have the same plug. I switched those ones around before I realized my mistake. And then there's the oil pressure sender and the temp sensor.

According to the wiring section, the fuel thermosensor (green connector in the secondary fuel rail) has a brown wire with a yellow stripe and a brown with black stripe (section B1-b).

The water thermosensor has a green with white stripe and brown with black stripe going to its green connector (section B1-c).

That help?

B1-b is Z-30, B1-c is Z-32. Fuel thermosensor (Z-30) is shown lower right corner of page, water thermosensor is lower left on Z-32.

Yay!
