Question having problems with vac hose replacemnet job (need help)

whats up fellas
I finally decided to do my vac hose hose job yesterday afternoon with peter pherell vacume hoses. Everything was going perfect until i encountered 2 problems when i was putting all the hoses and harness back into place. the 1st problem is that i cannot find a place for a blue harness located near the sv selenoids.(my dumbass fault for not taking pictures while i was taking evrything off) i call my friend that also has a rx7 and he told me that that harness does not connect to any thing and that his was the same way. being as frustrated as i was i took his advice and decided to finish the job. manifold , throttle body etc. every thing went back easily with no problems and no missing connects. went to turn on the car and 2nd problem arised. The car is idling hard and smoke is coming out of the exhaust. I'm thinking that either a vacume hose is loose, or i incorrectly put a hose in the wrong slot (very doubtful though because i replaced one at a time) i'm going back to work on this afternoon with a couple of rx-7 owners who are going to try to help me out, but if there is any body out with any comments, recommendations , hints, etc. on my 2 problems PLEASE HELP me out. Alright guys really need your help on this one.

did you remove any coolant lines or anything (specifically the one that goes into the block)?

I am no expert, but if you just screwed up some of the small vacuum hoses I dunno why you would get smoke. Maybe that is just from the car sitting for a few days (?). Did you disconnect any of the fuel lines that are connected to the solenoid rack?

I was there helping him with the job. We didn't disconnect any of the fuel lines, just rats nest. light white smoke and it idles like crap. car was running perfectly fine with no idling issue before the job and was only sitting there for few hours. Will it help if I reset the ECU ??

when you removed the rats nest, did you just take out the PITA 2 screws on each side, or remove the coils and take the whole rack off?

Sounds like somehow a bit of coolant got in the housing with the white smoke. Might be a reason for the lumpy idle as well.

Check the map sensor, airpump clutch connector and acv connector (less sure about that one).

the MAP sensor Vac line can connect anywhere to the UIM aslong as it as after the TB. Yes it can be T'd into, but Why not just use the connection near where the UIM and LIM meet? That is where the stock ABV (BOV) connects to.

On the non-California cars, the blue plug goes nowhere, let it dangle.
