Have good news to share!
Nittos have officially sponsored me and my car will be display at the Nittos booth at Importfest 2001 at Toronto Skydome 9/29/01.
Not only that, SparcoUSA and Motorex will sponsor me in the near future but first I have to get a proposal and some tech and pictures of my car.

Worded that they are going to use my car on their website for their C-west products
Right now I am working on a proposal with them to use my car as an advertised for their C-west products but I am not sure it is going to be a sponsorship or not. It depends on what they want to do with my car. I have no authority over that matter.

Don't get me wrong, but I think it would be a heck of a lot easier to sponsor a RX-7 that was near me than one that is on the other side of the U.S., considering that MotoRex is in Los Angeles, CA and you're in Philadelphia.

Actually LA is saturated with sponsored vehicles already Dom. The reason that they would sponsor an East Coast car is that they need representation out there.
Most of the companies are no longer looking for West Coast cars. There are about 2 C-West FDs in the Torrance area alone. The west coast market is pretty dead compared to the east coast also. There is a higher demand currently on that side.
Sponsorships are always a "touchy" thing. It can come in the form of budgeted money, free parts or just a discount. The whole point is that they want to know what your car can do for them. And is it worth the money they are putting in to it.
Most times it is a year contract with a set number of events to attend, sticker placement, and some sort of guarenteed press.
I actually think that AARotary has a good shot at some type of sponsorship. With the mods on his car there may be a few people intrested.
As far as some of the major performance companies like GReddy or Apex'i it would be alot harder. The biggest problem is that he has different manufacture's parts. He would have to change the car and lean towards one or the other.

Alex,
Im not doubting you, but everytime I talk to you, your "sponsored" by a different company. When I saw you at KD Rotary you told me Apexi sponsered you and that was the reason you had so many pieces of electronic's doing the same job.....for example....power fc- ---AFC, ITC, AVCR. Just seemed a little funny, is all.
