gz or aspec oil pan
Im in the process of a total complete rebuild innovative gts 66 single, custom manifold, large pinnapple street port, gz lim, the whole nine yards while I got the motor out was just wondering if a aftermarket oil pan was worth the extra $500 I would like to hear some opinions, if it runs any cooler oil temps, does it bind the gear shifting any at all, in other words is it woth it or not? Any input would be great!

There have been some very good discussions on the forums pertaining to aftermarket oil pans. I encourage you to search for some of them. As an example, here's a thread that had some great info/discussion:

If you wander over to torquecentral, you'll also find some more threads from guys running cast SBC pans. As with anything there are pros and cons. There are many people here that like them, but I personally am not a fan of running a cast aluminum oil pan on the street. IMHO, I think that the cons outweigh the pros.
