You are not going to find a perfect match. I have the Defi gauges that I bought from Jason at the RX-7 Store. They are a close match, but the font is different and the lighting is green. They still look really good. If I were you, I would find a set of gauges that would go well with what is there, and don't worry about getting them to match perfectly.

Autometer, Jason. Right down to almost identical fonts, white markings, red needles, and red illumination. My pillar boost guage looks OEM instead of a mod. Not saying that they're the best guages, but the most resembling factory guages.

The older BLITZ gauges match almost perfectly! They type and the polished aluminum bezzel. I was sad to give them up cause they are almost exact.

Other than the chrome ring, I don't think ANYTHING looks as stock as the Omori gagues with the red lighting and the custom ordered red needles.

www.omorimeter.com

Problem is that they dont offer red lighting in some of their american standard measurement gauges.

You are kidding right? Those look like a pressure gauge you would find on a bicycle tire pump. You know the kind you use your foot to operate. I guess beauty is in the eye of the beholder.

VDO Cockpit Black is about as close as you can get. Main difference is no chrome bezel and the lighting at night is a very cheesy yellow bulb, no backlighting. However, they are very reasonably priced. http://www.geocities.com/nathan356/mycargauges.html

there are no gauges yet that match the stock ones PERFECTLY, so they are all gonna be off on looks. so i say forget about how they look, and get the best gauges out: DEFI . (BTW, the DEFI gauges look really nice too. they light up green, but if you are really **** about that, you can change the bulb inside.)

This VDO is the closest... minus the chrome ring.

One person says the VDO guges light up yellow, another says red. What's the deal here?

As far as numbers and pointer, they definitely seem to match up the best.

the vdo gauge comes with a red light "condom" which dims the lighting too much for my taste. Others have simply gottena red bulb instead.

I have the PFS boost gauge in my car and it matches almost perfectly. most people think it is stock because it mathces so closely. And at night it is a dead on EXACT match.

Apex'i

the apexi mechanical gauges with a black face look almost identical during the day time. at night, however, they light up in a lightblue/indiglo. maybe thats ricey but i found taht its actually really easy to read how it lights up.
if i had a pic id post it.....

Has anyone been able to purchase the OMORI gauges in american units with red back lighting? On the web page it lists them all as not available. But the same gauge in metric has variety of colors.
is it as simple as changing a bulb? I have a greddy EGT and it can't be opened. can you get to the bulb on the OMORI units?
anyone?

also does anyone know where to buy these little condoms to change the lighting?

don't forget SPI gauges.

The are available with a red needle & have an orangey-red backlight.

... and, screw the metric system, these things read in psi... my car gets 50 wagon wheels to the hog's head and that's the way I likes it.
