Greddy turbo timer malfunction?

Does anyone know how to fix this? On my 94 rx-7 R2, I installed a greddy turbo timer using a wiring harness and properly grounded it. When I turn on the ignition, it beeps twice and displayes a 1 and a backwards "c" on the screen. When I turn off the ignition, it doesn't count down or anything. The engine just turns off. That's it. Any ideas? Is the timer bad?

No it's not a bad timer.

Go to the greddy site. http://www.greddy.com/

Go to tech. There is an english turbo timer manual. see page no.27 (line switch mode)it'll answer your question.

I tried the instructions using the english manual at greddy.com. When I hold down the p+s buttons, there is no response from the turbo timer. It won't flash ACC on the screen. Mine displays 1 and a backwards "c", not 1G. I originally thought this was the problem as well. Any other ideas?

My Greddy timer died along with a few friends of mine that had them as well. Search on here you'll find a thread with quite a few that have stopped working. Don't know if was just a bad batch of them or what but I think they are garbage.

They are all bad. You don't need a turbo timer, so get rid of it. Just drive the car easy for the last 2 minutes of your drive, and shut it off. Turbo timers are toys for dumb kids that don't know any better .

I hope I'm not the only one who is never late to work

Any moron can figure out how to drive a car fast without boosting for the last 2 minutes.

They are not just for DUMB kids that don't know any better. They have there place and other pourposes/features. So opinions like ********, everyone has them (some are just bigger than others). I can warm up/cool off the interior with it locked and not have to endure the unpleasantries of suffering in the car while it does so. I needed a volt meter so it filled the bill. (-:

I've been using the same Greddy TT 2000 since 2000, across 3 or 4 cars, no problems whatsoever. I haven't heard of any cases of broken ones personally, besides on here.

Since this is an OPEN forum, I won't be taking your advice. By the way, telling him to get rid of it was the best advice on this thread .......... by far

LOL... the dialog is hilarious! Anyways, I think i've tried everything including taking a voltometer and checking each individual wire to make sure it's wired correctly. I guess I'll just order a new one and hope it works. Thanks for all the advice.

Well, sure enough, it was the turbo timer. I ordered a new one and plugged it into the old harness. Everything works great! Thanks for the advice!
