GReddy Elbow to custom pipe to Blitz IC pipe
Hey guys..
got a pipe made up to connect the GReddy elbow to the Blitz IC pipes (Blitz pipe is a direct bolt on to the stock plastic one, but im using the GReddy elbow so needed a pipe made up to fill the gap) but im left with this gap around 2cm towards the right side of the pipe only. See pics.
I tried clamping/tightening it down with the hose clamp thingo's and seem to be fine, but I guess just knowing under there, there is a 2cm gap and only sealing it would be the hose clamp.
Will It be still safe even if that much of a gap is tightened/clamped down with a silicone hose?
The silicon hose wont get sucked in?

Any multi-ply silicone coupler will be fine, it will not get sucked in. You do need to bead roll the end or it will blow out of the coupler under boost.
I made one pipe for my Blitz to Greddy connection

im running the same setup except when i bought my greddy elbow i bought the 3 piece kit. i just cut the greddy pipes to fit the blitz stock mount.
i did NOT bead roll the cut ends and my boost pattern remained the same at 10psi. its probably preferable to roll them but i dont think it absolutely necessary. YMMV.
that being said...if i find someone to do it ill probably have it done but im in no hurry. maybe just for the piece of mind.

I would file off @ 1/4" of the aluminum tubing on the Altenator side so that the gap is even all the way around first. Then using a good ( baker precision ) Silicone coupler and good clamps ( baker precision again ) clamp it together and it will not come apart. Beading would be nice, but not necessary.
First square up the tubing end as I described.
