Great O2 Sensor Deal
#26
I have a downpipe and the stock cc . The car had 45k miles on it but the air pump was making a heck of a lot of noise . Petit racing just disconnected the electrical connectio9n to the airpump and adjusted the idle and the car runs fine. Will this clog my cat or screw up my o2 sensor? It has never been replaced.

I just had one sent to me for $34.99. It has a 20" long insulated lead with a stock Mazda connector on it. It is made by NTK which also makes the stock Mazda O2 sensor.
You can find a car's sensor by make, model, and year; or even Mazda part number. I got their part number 250-21020, which is listed for a 1994 Mazda RX7 R2-1.3L.

I called and they said they will send a replacement and didn't know about the website mistake untill after it was shipped.
The wrong part number one should fit perfectly for DP's other than HKS since the O2 sensor is mounted closer than stock.

The only thing that will change the "accuracy" (resistance) is if you use a different gauge wire to splice or increase/decrease the length of the wire dramatically. Try to use the same gauge, never smaller. Solder has no effect, it just makes the connection more permanent so that it will never work free on it's own if the crimp fails. Don't overtighten it, just seat it gently and forget about it for 25,000 miles or so..........they last a long time.

Above quote from RonKMiller on a similar thread.
My bro-in-law (20+yr Honda Tech) told me not to solder them but I have no proof either way so I purchased it with the wire.

Re: Great O2 Sensor Deal
Chuck,
This is a great deal, and am ready to pull the buy trigger.
One question. Will the Walker oxygen sensor give my Apex Power FC the data it needs to make accurate AFR readings? I know you have the Apex PFC also, so...
Is there any other oxygen sensor I should go with besides the stock one?
Thanks for this link! I plan to order one Monday, if the Walker unit works as well as the stock oxygen sensor unit...

I checked out Kragen's website just to see the prices $18 - $200
Click "here" and you figure it out.
Anyhow, I was curious cause a g/f of mine works for Schucks in WA and she says she delivers to the dealers all the time and she can't wear a badge or shirt with Schucks on it because they don't want the customers to know where they buy the parts "lol".

Damn that walker unit looks shorter on the tops side (anyone have a measurement?) My bung was welded inboard a little too far and the top of the o2 sensor hit the turbo housing, that one looks like it would clear, I only need a 1/4 - 1/2 inch.

deceptive
it seems shorter but it is deceptive because the bolt part is in a different spot, here is a photoshop-hacked image to compare, they are about the same zoom ratio so it is relatively accurate in comparing the length difference (relative , not absolute)

In the diagram it states Ford 90-92. Does this mean there is a $35 Ford OEM O2 sensor that is the same as our $212 Mazda O2 sensor? Has anyone checked out Ford Probe O2 sensors from 90-92? I like the price of the Walker unit, but if you can get the same OEM sensor for under $50 that would be excellent.

i dont think so hapa, all it means is that it can 'replace' the ford sensor.

Hmmm, well I received mine today:
- doesn't say NTK on it
- doesn't say Walker on it
- doesn't look like the pix that damian posted
- does have a 20" wire
- does have "JAPAN 5340 11C" stamped into it
I'll try it out this week...
