Got Gauges put on!

Well i just got my car back...after i installed my downpipe, but had the boss install my gauges....i got a A/F DEFI gauge and a boost gauge from DEFI. Good news is that boost goes to 10 psi no prob..but in 2nd will sometimes get 12 psi and when im in 3rd gear and have in punched will reach 15psi. Do i need to get a PFC soon or should i be ok if i just dont drive it hard...and also got a new oil pressure gague and will read 100 sometimes is that normal or what should it be at??

i would never recommend going 15psi ever with your set-up. a couple runs of that and your motor is toast. you need to control your boost to safe levels or get a power fc pronto.

port the wastegate, or get a boost controller, and get the pfc.

i know my car can hit 13 psi right now on the stock ecu, but what fun is it knowing that without the pfc the car is just a time bomb. cant wait until it comes

You don't want to boost spike that extreme. Like they say, you need a boost controller.

Get the $10 homedepot special...give yourself more money to save up for the PFC... keep it at 10psi

Agree, I wouldn't waste the $ on a profec B if you're getting a PFC later...

Porting the wastegate will do nothing to solve his problem. He's not seeing boost creep. And if he were, then a boost controller would do nothing. You've given our young newbie lots of conflicting info.

The more important question than what psi the gauge is reading is when it's happening. Given the free-er flowing nature of his exhaust and intake, and given that he still has the stock cat in place, I'd be willing to wager that he's seeing his 15 psi after transition, which would be a boost spike. That can be safely controlled by a boost controller. You only really need a new ECU if you plan on raising the boost above stock levels, and you only really need a PFC if you plan on swapping out the turbos, porting the motor, or upgrading the fuel system.

FastCat, I'd say for now just get a boost controller (manual, or electronic, take your pick), and wait on the ECU until you know what your plans are for the car.
