Glovebox will NOT close

Just recently my glovebox decided to stop closing @ all. No matter what I do to it it will not stay in the closed position. It use to just fall open every now and then when I hit a bump in the road but now it just constantly stays open! Has anybody else had this problem??? And if so, what did you do or recommend doing? Thanks in advance!

Mine use to do this and I just went around a tightened all my screws. Some were about to just fall out on their own. Now it closes better than it ever has!

goodluck

Well, yours was physically broken. His may not be broken, but just loose screws.

No, the screws on my latch had come loose from the inside. The only way to screw them back in was to separate the two halves and then glue them back together.

Ah, that must be on a later page in that thread. However, you have to remember that when people are searching, the results are by default: newest message first.
