I agree, you can always use it in your lawn mower or chain saw, even with the premix

It's not a big deal, just drive easy for half a tank, fill up on the good stuff and fill again when low. It wont harm you the one time. Just don't use 87 all the time.

I've been driving on 89 octane for over a year.

Shut up!!!!

I don't have a choice, unless I drive three hours to Germany.

Or...oh yeah, I could pay $5.00 (really) a gallon at Shell for V-Power which is sill only 91.

I love Italy but the gas sucks ****.

Same here on Okinawa...on base 89 off bas 105!!!...but it's about 50 to 60$ a fill up...

Either way, you'll be fine.

That's complete and utter BS. I have knocked may times...infact, I remember when I knocked the most...when I swapped my f/r trailing coils by mistake(at the wiring harness side) and I was getting knocks around 150+...I remember seeing 4 distinct readings. I also have hit 79+ while tuning my non-sequentials...

So whenever I hear someone say, "One knock and it's over"...gotta call BS.

Just drive it easy, fill with 92 or 93 when you get to half tank. Amazing number of responses on this thread. Tom

Gee dumb ***, I guess you forgot to log out and log back in as Jspecracer... and since you described exactly what you did to your car I know it's you who has been posting **** all over the forum . You see I do know how to use the seach button.. He did **** up his engine doing this by the way just so you all know.. He has shitty vac readings and I Idol's like **** now, or maybe he did log in under the diffrent name so he wouldn't look like an ***... The power FC will show a knock reading but it doesn't mean it's knocking, it just means there is a lot of strange engine noise... Usually a high reading is a sign of knocking or that your getting very close to it occuring.. If it pings hard more than likly you will loose the engine..

The stock ECU retards under detonation. When I was test driving mine before I bought it, I had the owner free rev it while I watched the exhaust standing behind the car. It puffed a small puff of black smoke then and when restarting. I saw him put in 89 octane. Once I started putting in 94 octane, it didn't do this. I'm assuming it retarded the timing enough to cause incomplete combustion.
The PFC does not retard under detonation. It does nothing but display some number that has no real meaning

My female friends would rather drive my rusty old Pathfinder with no third gear and poor brakes than drive my FD It scares them

Kill yourself for letting her touch your car, and then kill her for not thinking straight.

Im just sitting back enjoying the responces. I had no idea it would be this interesting. She only put in a quarter tank so I think im OK. I just didnt want to take ANY chances. I really can't afford a new engine. By the way, what is this toluene stuff your talkin about??

Israel...How can you GF be to short to reach the pedals? is she like 3'5" or something. After all it is made in Japan.

hard to say. with the mod you have, the car is not going to be happy when you are in high boost. Take it easy for a while just to be safe.
