I let her drive it because
1. its what I spend ALL my money on
2. she actually is my fiancee(However you spell it)
3. FDs are ******* cool and I want her to look cool to
4. it is just a car,if she wrecks it " I'll throw it in the gutter, and go buy another"

Yeah no doubt, sounds like some of you guys need to get laid. Its only a f*cking car!
And while I have tried getting into the FD's pants, carbon on the muffler and premix in the gas tank don't feel to good.
But my girlfriend on the other hand, I get to take my ugly stick to a beautiful women whenever I want.

dude, i say you have some sex... that would probably fix the situation. and make sure you're real rough on her. that should teach her a lesson (unless she likes it rough) and hopefully she will know to put 93 in the sumbitchin' FD next time.

I don't let her drive the car because it's damn dangerous. The car is easy to get loose and I don't want anything happening to my wife. I don't care that much about the car.
Even when people think they are "taking it easy", it's still extremely easy to have something go out of control. Just search through here about people losing control of their car and these are people who "thought they knew their car". How about people who don't know the car coming into these situations? That's what I'm talking about.

I feel fine with my girl behind the wheel, she's a great driver, she also helps take care of my ****.
She's the only person I know that can change my plugs, oil and T-Stat all within 15 minutes.
If thats not a keeper I don't know what is.
Shes into all kinds of racing from drag to the local auto x, so I don't even have to think about stuff like that.

She is going to do one of those racing Driving Instruction classes with her Audi A4. After that, I'm going to start teaching her how to handle my FD. Hell, I doubt I "really" know how to handle an FD.

this is the 89 octane fiancee
I've read all your replys to my man's question.
what can i say, but we all make mistakes
I would like to thank you BOOMER for the method of punishment you recommended. Today is my birthday, so maybe i'll get him to throw in a couple extra spankings for being naughty to our most beloved FD.
by the way, my man is right, i look great in the car and i definately know how to handle a stick!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

np, well, you definitely have one that's different from the "norm". My wife wouldn't even think about touching any of that stuff. Any time I want to learn something and do some work on my FD, she wants me to just take it to the shop.

It's your fault for not informing her about octane rating for your vehicle. Just make it clear from here on out (and other stuff about your vehicle if you want her to maintain it while you are gone again).
Just don't boost higher than 5psi or so. Run the gas out.
Knocking in vacuum and low boost should do no harm to the engine. If it does, your engine is already worn out.
I wouldn't be paranoid about the engine blowing. Just don't hammer on it until you refill with 93 or higher octane.
If you're paranoid about high boost because you have NO control over your foot and ego, then you can go to the extremes as others have mentioned (mixing higher octance FUEL or extracting fuel and replacing it with higher octane).
And yes, NO car matches a nice woman who treats you like a king.

My wife loves my R1 but won't drive it at all. She loves when I drive fast but won't even move it in the driveway.
She drove it to work one day when she had her car in the shop. In that half mile drive to work she managed to get sideways on a straight when she missed 3rd and instead hit 1st and floored it. I had to go pick her up cause she was too scared to drive it home.
Since then She won't go near it.

My g/f thinks she looks damn hot when driving my Fd around, but, frankly she is scared to death of the car. She really has no interest in cars... just likes the fact that I am "7" addict. She won't put her foot down and I guess that is a good thing. I would rather lose the car than her. And what would be worse..... losing HER AND the CAR!!!
what a shitty day that would be....
her 1990 Ford Taurus is a bit lacking in the power department (not to mention looks and reliability)...... no breaking the tires loose in that POS.
