Getting car tuned by Steve Kan
#26
You got it!
Five people minimum times $300 = $1500, the minimum charge to get Steve to come to your location. You pay for your own Dyno time as well, or street tune with Steve, he'll do either. Just some helpful advice from our session this weekend... make sure and have a fresh set of plugs to screw in (if needed), and if your plug wires are old or even questionable, buy a new set and have them installed ahead of time. Changing out these two items (plugs and wires) cost us some valuable time this weekend that could have been avoided.
Awesome experience. Steve is the guy to trust when tuning your aftermarket EMS.

steve visited wisconsin this summer and tuned a number of cars. i was struck by how he was really in to tuning. he wasn't there as much for the paycheck but was truly interested in getting it right. as i have previously posted, he tuned dick lambert's rx6 95 that i had done some initial tuning on and the car is now exceptionally fast. i am sure there are other good tuners out there but you won't go wrong with steve.

From all I've read about Steve, he's the guy. Okay, we need a couple of guys in the NYC area (I'm on Long Island) to come together and make it worth Steve's time up here. Who handles Steve's airfare? If the $1,500 includes Steve covering his own airfare, perhaps I could cover that and we would not need 5 cars.

I heard that Steve Guy can swing a mean tune..
as for the toluene. the optimum mix is 10 gall 93 octane.. 5 gallons tolune.. and 28 oz Marvel mystery oil.. i know several supras making mid 600s to the wheels on this mix reliably ( years now).
on my BPU car i made identical power and had an identical A/F graph using VP MS103 as i did with my home made toluene mix.

Hey Alberto:
I'll reach out to Steve Kan and see if I can get it put together. I'm assuming that you're on board? If so, that's 3. I have a gazzillion frequent flier miles with American, so I'd be happy to cash them in and cover Steve's travels. We need to get it done before the weather goes bad up here.

Steve is a good guy. I appreciate his talent. Its nice to see a guy who will travel where the demand is and do such a good job for guys. He is an asset to the RX7 community. I trust Steve. There are other tuners out there. Steve has made a decent reputation for himself and in this line of work Rep is everything.
