Fuel Slosh Issues Part 2. New solution by Holley revealed.

We'll see if this works out. For those concerned about pump noise in hatch, fuelab has a 3rd wire on pumps that controls the speed via PWM. They have an accompanying fuel pressure regulator that will auto adjust pump speed via flow sensor so you're running minimal speed at all times.

FWIW, I have seen a solution that involves using a second stock fuel pump assembly mounted into (AFAIK) a simple aluminum container. It doesn't involve any fancy AN fittings and expensive steel-braided hoses, either.
I'm sure there's a bit of wiring involved (and you'll need a stock connector pigtail) since you're using two pumps, but this is probably the cheapest, simplest solution.

Check out Damian's track rx7 the yellow one. He has exactly that as a surge tank setup in his spare tire well, its excellent.
Regarding voltage,
I ran two, walbro 400lph. The car would overheat the fuel and experience slight cavitation/fuel pressure drop from the increased fuel heat and lower fuel density as it decompressed into the tank. This would have gone unnoticed if it wasn't for mechanical fuel pressure gauge showing the pulsations of the cavitation, and the fact that the trunk was not insulated with carpet, so that the increased whining from pump could be heard.
Anyhow, the only way to solve the issue entirely was to install an external pump speed controller. Doing another fuel system, excited to see if this regulator can live up to its job; controlling the speed of the pump, without any necessary controller or relays/wiring etc. Its pretty simple, just a wire to the regulator and you never have to worry about pump staging, extra relay wiring, or cavitation/vapor lock.

So, I just ordered the hydramat the 15" x 8" cross and I'm going to see what I can do with it. Unfortunately when I had my gas tank redone, they removed the stock bucket in it. So I could try just using the hydramat or I'll try to make some sort of little bucket or whatever at one end of the mat.
If anyone has another idea that would be super. As for track use, I'm just going to be using it for autocross and the occasional track day.

Ya, I thought about that but the only other one that is longer is $400 more. the cross shaped one with the offset fitting seemed like the best option since I'm running an in tank pump.

I'm running an in tank pump aswell . (2 of them) I'd gladly pay 5-600 if the Matt would fit and have 2 fittings for 2 pumps.

ive been tracking my FD with one for a while now no problems so far. premixing 1oz/gal. if it was leaning out the oil mixture, i would think it would have shown fuel starvation from oil buildup by now, but all seems ok

Maybe give the filter a check to see if it's getting clogged at all with the residual oil, last I heard it was ok up to a certain amount

Just curious...

Looking forward to hearing more feedback. My 93 still has its baffles intact and with the hyperion cover I don't have any starvation issues so long as I keep it above 1/4tank. Given how I drive the car I don't expect the baffles to hold very long. A 99 spec tank would be nice but im guessing its $$ and difficult to find, and I doubt my hyperion cover will fit.
The cross shaped mat would seem to be most effective but even the straight would seem to suffice. Especially if I keep the hyperion cover a long with. How strong are the magnets? And is this shape offered with the hose type attachment which will fit a walbro 400?

You can find one used, but hyperion is long gone.

I think the JDM tank is $600 + $150 shipping from JDMland. The hyperion cover can be made to fit, but it doesn't fit the tub perfectly on the newer tanks. The newer tanks actually have a top plate similar to hyperion, but not as closed off.You can find one used, but hyperion is long gone.
