Front Fender Lights

I just recently got a set of front fenders that have the '99 spec lights in them. My question is are they a turn signal or a parking light? I want to wire them up the way they would be on a 99. Thanks.

Usually those side lights are for signals. That is the way it was on my Mini, Audi and BMW.

how to mount them on US spec fenders

Interested to know how you will mount those on US fenders without those preexisting cutouts... I bought a set but not sure if I'm comfortable about cutting up the fenders.

FYI: Those marker lights on the fenders are not 99 spec. They came on all jdm fds starting in 1992.

Oh ok, I didn't realize that, but they are marker lights & not turn signals though, correct? Like gracer7-rx7 said, they usually seem to be for turn signals, but I guess they aren't on the FD's???

No, the side markers, are Signals. I own a 1993 JDM FD, and they are definitely signals.

Like said above, just get a set of the JDM fenders, and they will have the cut-outs already there, and just wire them to your pre-existing Signal Circuit.

I believe just like in Europe, Its a Law for all cars overseas (in most places) to have the side signals.

Ok thank you. The fenders that I got are JDM fenders (not '99 spec like I thought) with the holes already cut in them. I just wanted to wire the lights up the correct way. Which I will wire them with the turn signals!

Yea thats right! I love mine. Makes it seem even more of a "Newer" car.

And i always liked it on the Audi's and VW's.

Well, once the fenders are painted I will install them and the lights. I think they will look sweet. I agree with you about it looking "newer" too. Thanks for the help.
