Freshly painted MB

Seeing what a new MB paint job looks like has really made me appreciate the color. All the 10+ year old MB RX-7's look so bad that it made me wonder why anybody would want that color. After seeing your car I realized it really is a nice.

Its really difficult to appreciate good MB paint from photos such as these...When I saw my first MB I had the same feeling most have...Why would anyone want that? It wasn't till I saw my buddies new MB paint that I realized how nice it really is...I have pretty new silver paint and I actually considered going MB if I had to repaint. Looks great, man!

I forget what primer we used, the paint was "matrix systems" paint, the color was the stock 94 MB color code. I'll have to look up what it was.

Interesting, they are located right down the road about 20 minutes from where I live. Glad to see positive results from a company's products close to me, as I'm looking into having my FD repainted.
The car looks excellent, I've always liked the look of quality MB.

Looks awesome. I always liked that color. Thoght it would be the color FD I would eventually buy. It's unlike any other color I've seen on a production car.
But, hey, I love my brilliant black too.

My fiance's brother in law has done paint/body work for about 15 years now. We did all the prep work in a little "shack" out in the middle of the country...then, when we needed to spray the paint/clear, we used a friends paint booth. Then we took the car back to the shack for wetsanding/cutting/polishing/etc. We spent A LOT of time blocking the entire car when it was still in primer. That saved us a lot of time in the wetsanding area...as it was practically smooth as a baby's butt immediately after spraying the clear. But yes, we spent quite a bit of time wetsanding/cutting/polishing as well. This has been a project we were doing in our spare time and on our weekends off. I'd say we actually started about 2 1/2 months ago.

Some real rims with a nice lip would really set the car off.
My MBM is a 94, so I think my paint condition really helps with MBM's impression. I didn't like the color as much seeing it in photo's (people take some seriously hideous angle/lighting shots) but in person it gets better. It's black at night too
Nice job, nice car!
