Garfinkle does not sell on ebay , maybe someone is selling one of his on there . He makes the link to fit YOUR car after the ends are mounted . CPracing is buying them with the link allready cut to their spec . May be that is what you bought .

I know, after I won the item I was thinking "hmmm, I will just give them my fedex number and have them ship it to my work" as soon as I hit the paypal thing I noticed the $25 shipping and handling fee...I thought I was getting a good deal until I saw that fee...I feel totally foooked after that Anyway, teaches me for not reading everything.

Ya for a hundred dollars the exhaust better get here in under 12 hours. You have to be careful and read all of the fine print when buying stuff off of ebay. I am personally waiting for the engine brace and can't wait to install it.

I would only say you dont get a warantee with a POS off EBAY, at least if you buy it from FEED there is a GOOD chance you can return it if something breaks. Plus its not a NO NAME item.

I think its a good mod for RX7s and anything with a lot of torque, its not a solid brace, it does give a little, BUT its not a dampner, its just the look of it..

If the e-bay brace is a POS as Spiritr says ,then send it back. If it is garfinkles and it breaks he will fix it. If any one does not want the info I can get from him , than do not read what I type . I think his experience is worth something to someone .The people who call him to get info are not complaining, the owners of the cars and motorcycles he repairs are happy . So if you do not want the info do not read my post .

fwiw - I bought hard intake pipes from the seller (huybiz) of the Feed brace for $120. He seems like a legit guy and easy to work with.

lol.....damn, man. Inquiring minds want to know. Who in holy hell *is* Garfinkle? I mean, when I say "Kan says that negative timing split is bad," rotary dudes know who I'm talking about. Steve travels around the country tuning and (previously) drag racing and now owns Gotham Racing with me. It's pretty common knowledge in the rotary community. But Garfinkle.....now Garfinkle is in the shadows. He's an enigma. He is mysterious. He is incognito. Know what I'm sayin?

I've asked you about 15 times in posts about him and you never answer. Does he own a shop? Has he been around awhile? Does he drag race, road race? I think you have multiple personality disorder and he's your rotary genious alter ego .

Just messin' with ya man, don't get yer pantyhose in a bunch . But can you please answer my questions?

Garfinkle has been around for a long time. I'll let someone like rotorbrain or Jeff48 take this one. He is more of a southeast man. He is a rotary expert, but I believe he got his start in the 60's or 70's designing motorcycles. I believe Duboisr is his wife I believe. I know Jeff48 has answered this question several times, maybe when can get him to answer it again.

I have the red one for sale. I bought it to make a bracket to fit our cars. But, I'm gonna sell my car soon, so no point in that.

Your question has been answered any number of times in any number of forums, and I know YOU know how to use the SEARCH function. For the LAST time I am going to spend my time talking about a person who started out as a stranger selling me an engine torque brace and has since become one of my most favorite friends.

What can I say about David. The man is providing a product that gets rave reviews. . .he has been working on rotaries since the 70's, he is a motorcycle and car designer, he has been written about by numerous chopper magazines, he owns one of the most beautiful silver 3rd gens I have ever seen and he works out of a garage building in his back yard. No-one I have ever heard of has said a bad word about him, he is fair and honest and a genuinely good person. He is always trying to develop new parts for our cars and when they prove out, he makes them available most inexpensively.

He does not race vehicles, he builds them for others to race, including one very hot 30 year old turbocharged drag bike with bodyparts and framework he fabricated from scratch.

Has anyone ever told you that much about anyone else you have done business with? How much do you really know about Ray at SR, or the guys at Atkins, or even Ari. I personally have a number of horror stories to tell about Ray and Atkins, but people would rather beleive the SR and Atkins advertisements. Just cause David doesn't hype himself is no reason to question HIS background more than others, especially when people are asking about a part he offers that is so superior to the competition on its face that it and its fabricator should need no defense.

If you all are disinterested in purchasing something from David, fine. But it is time to put the implied character assassination crap away. Enough!!

BTW I agree wholeheartedly with you about Steve, but he is exactly like David in that he earned my respect one on one. You should try the same with David. If you want his address or phone number PM me, he does not do internet. Really you should call him and chat him up for a while, you will be VERY impressed.

Finally, if you are looking for a tuner, call Steve, David is NOT a tuner, he is an engine builder, general mechanic and designer/fabricator of parts.

Thumbs up

To add to the last post when I have talked to the man himself he has shown himself to be genuine, friendly and honest. He has always tried to help and has never ignored an issue. Straight up guy. Nuff said.
