Hey, is just your rear window tinted...and the windshield?? Your car should've been the main 7 in the movie !! Clean *** FD ! I'm sure your next one will be even better. Maybe you should've gotten an alarm with the satelite tracking.

Yes, I have the removable steering wheel on my open top Jeep. It's made by Grant and has a cover that locks on after you take the wheel off. You feel funny walking down the beach with a wheel in your hand thou.

Later, Jeff

And they might try to get rid of some things online, you never know how dumb they might be. I'll keep an eye out over here, although I doubt they would end up in PA, but ya never know.
Very good point... My brother's band lost a lot of their equiptment, and about 8 months later, he went to sell some stuff on ebay, that was no longer needed since it went with the missing stuff... anyways, when he dd a search, his new amp was on there. Nailed the *******. He put an extremely high bid on to guarentee that he would win, and then called the cops first thing.

Removeable steering wheel won't help. All they need is a pair of vise grips. A cop told me that when cars are stripped they take the steering wheel for the air bag and use vise grips to steer the car when they dump the car.

Yes, but the other people will be saying, "Wow, that guy really knows how to keep his car from being stolen."

Well if you were going into work, where you would have a long gap between when you see the car or going home for the night, just lay the wheel whereever you are. By your desk, in your house, etc. I'd sure rather be thought of as looking funny then having my car stolen.

About the steering wheel there is always a tow truck..then it wouldn matter if you could steer it or not..of course i think most people break into cars rather than towing..but if i were to steal a car i think i would use a tow truck..cause that doesnt look as suspisious as trying to get into cars andstart them however they do it. not that i would steal other peoples stuff..just a thought

Actuall they way it looks they towed it from Burbank to Inglewood.

Instead of a removable steering wheel i'm gonna put a seperate relay to the fuel pump. No gas no go. Simpe. All I have to do is turn the switch off after i park the car.

I'm not sure how you handled fuel & spark, but the Wolf 3D aftermarket ECU has a PIN number that can be set. Without putting in the proper pin, the ECU won't fire the plugs, or switch on the fuel pump.

A fuel pump relay switch can be found with enough scouring of the interior, although a frustration if the theives are pressed for time. BTW, if you do this, don't post it on the web, we've seen other 3rd gen's stolen because the owner posted their "anti-theft" ideas.

Personally, I'd like to see a separate coil wired under the bottom of the seat, so that when the anti-theft device has not been properly disabled, the theives hit the gas and get a high voltage rev right under their 'nads.

What I'm waiting for is a hidden car alarm that will call my Cell phone when it goes off, then I can open a can of wupass on the F'ers!

If anyone out there makes electronic products this would sell Like crazy I think.

Yes the alarms did have an ignition kill. The Hofco anti carjacking one had a delayed kill. But none of them did any good against a tow truck.

I need an alarm like the batmobile.................oh wait crap they got through that thing too.

Funny that you mention that. You can actually purchase those wheel boots, although they would be guaranteed to scratch up your rims.
