Flooded Engine Q (Spark Plug Pic Incl.)
Images were uploaded in the wrong order ![Frown](https://www.rx7club.com/images/smilies/frown.gif)
Picture 2: Front Rotor Leading Spark Plug
In short, I drive the car for one day, runs perfectly, nothing out of the ordinary. I go home to park it for one day. The next night I go to start it, and nothing. Engine has no problems cranking. A symptom of a flooded engine is that it does not start, and I've been told these engines flood. Judging by my spark plug
Picture 1: Bonus Question![Smilie](https://www.rx7club.com/images/smilies/smile.gif)
I have those rims, I don't know how to get to the lug nuts.![Wallbash](https://www.rx7club.com/images/smilies/wallbash.gif)
A flathead screwdriver is too thick.. If anybody has any suggestions, I'd appreciate it, otherwise I'll have to post prettier pictures.
Thanks in advanced.

use a credit car for the rims to pop it out.
spark plug, if you think you have a fuel leak check your injectors and see if you can see some damage ring, also it might not be fuel but oil. my omp is not working properly and i have excess smoke sometimes due to the valve being stuck sometimes and my spark plugs look like that.

Thanks for the fast reply.
A credit card won't work, I'm thinking I'm gonna have to use a big wrench or something to twist the centercap off.
Anyway, about the fuel leak I'm very positive I have a fuel leak and since I've taken my car off the road it's not that big of a problem right now. Will dirty plugs be the culprit of an engine that won't start?

well it will make it hard to start and sometime not at all, according to the FAQ page. also sometimes you might not have enought voltage to the start to fully start it, the wire for the start seems to be lacking, some places have relays or DIY instruction for this also.

with that much carbon built up on the plug its doubtful it will start at all. the other 3 plugs look the same you should deflood your engine, and install new ones. attempting to start a flooded engine afew times can also wash the oil from the apex seals and can lead to a little low compression which will also make it harder to start. a little (2 tbsp or so) 2 stroke oil in the spark plug holes before installing them should solve that problem.

I've had worse plugs and seen worse carbon build up. The fact that you see a arc ring around the top most of the electrode means it's working. Taking a wire brush (wire wheel works better) and cleaning the plugs up will make things better. When in doubt or you have the extra 20 bucks get new plugs.
If you have anymore trouble getting the car to start de-flood it again and have a friend tow you and pop start it. Pop starting ALWAYS works unless something is seriously wrong.
In regards to the center caps. You'll need an ice pick or a really small screw driver. Rotating the center cap wont do anything as it's shaped like a saw blade and will either bind up or snap something inside. GOODLUCK!!!

you dont need a tow, just push it up to about 5mph and drop the clutch in 2nd-3rd gear. works like a champ everytime, something about having something strapped to the front of my car and the back of another car just doesnt sit too well with me. ive seen too many straps break
