Cool Fixing Hacked rear fenders

I picked up a 93 that has it's rear fender wells hacked open by about 3 inches. See picture at this link: ftp://swet.com/p1010003.jpg

I want to get it back to stock. Are there repair kits or inserts that would do the trick? Looking for any suggestions.

Thanks, Del

That is going to be a big job fixing those. I would just buy another set of flares.

I too think that it had flares on there as well. The only solution is to either put on new flares (from petit or someone else). The only problem with that is that you have to buy some big *** wheels and tires for the rear otherwise it looks stupid. Or you can just replace the rear fenders with the factory ones. Either option is not going to be cheap. Hopefully you got a good deal on the car.

^Agreed. If you want to go back to stock, you'll need a set of quarter panels and inner wells. You should be able to get them used. Check with a trusted local shop or give these guys a call:

It looks like it would take more than just the stock fender cover. the structure that ataches the fender in wheel well looks to be cut too. If money is a majer deciding facter then I would go with some new flares, and maby get some wheel spacers TEMPORALLY.

What he said...

1/4 panels should be pretty cheap used since most FDs are wrecked in the front. Make sure you talk to a bodyshop before you buy the car to estimate repair costs.

I'd get a entire rear clip used for all the pieces you'll need.

Is that a real CYM?

Locate the previous owner and slap the **** out of him/her for not including the rear flares with the car.
