Enjoy you RX 7. I Bought mine with 41,000 in May 2004. I replaced all the coolant hoses and rubber lines, changed fuel filter, replaced an engine mount, and one strut. Replaced the water pump, switched out the AST tank. These were all needed repairs/upgrades.

Drive safely

great find. i saw their ads online for that 7. i thought it was a bit pricy, but its definitly in good condition. you'll definitly enjoy it. but like many mentioned, do the reliability mods first. and change things that don't last too long, even if nothing's wrong with it, like spark plugs, water pump, fuel filter. keep up the maintanence and ur FD will stay one happy FD.

Since no one else is giving you any actual reliability mods to do, here's a link for some: http://robrobinette.com/reliabiltiy.htm

If you have any questions try searching first so you don't get flamed but if you still have trouble everyone on here is willing to help. Good luck

Edit: Oh yeah. Expect to spend many hours on here researching. It will take a while to learn the basics. Just start here: https://www.rx7club.com/3rd-generation-specific-1993-2002-16/faq-3rd-gen-other-useful-links-68640/

Wow, Thanks for all of the words of wisdom. where to begin... I really sparked a few notes when i said I would replace my rims 1st didnt I? And to njstreetrx7, yes I would sell the rims, The car came with those and the originals, I like the originals better. But eventually I will upgrade the rims with something that suits me. I promise everyone that I will do the reliability mods 1st. I have gotten like 10 PM's instructing me that I better Thanks guys/gals for the advice. This is a great forum, everyone is really helpful

Hey, Stephentross, you lucky bastard! Congrats, bro. I'm still looking for one myself. Ever since the "Fast & Furious" movies came out the prices of these cars have risen dramatically and they are becoming increasingly hard to find.

P.S.
My name is Stephen too!

If you want your warranty to be worth anything you'll have to be very carefull what modifacations you do to the car, since the exhaust system was done at the time the warranty was written, you should be safe there. Changing out the AST (if stock) is a must and a metal radiator is also a plus. I'd just be careful what is done. No one has mentioned a boost gauge ??? didn't notcie any way, but that's a must to be able to troubleshoot the turbo system on these cars. Nice find on a 93 touring ! ! !

Though your intentions are grand, I still wouldn't mention the 3 words of that movie title... else you get flamed by all on here. Those words just send shivers down my spine... eck...

Thanks, Although I have this feeling that I just opened my wallet up to this thing. Not knowing i did such a thing. I have no idea what it will cost to do all of the reliability mods. I had this daydream that my car would be reliable as is. Clearly i didnt do my research. Its okay, Im up to the task. What fun is it to drive something and park it in the driveway/garage anyway. I for one find it great to actually have a car that you actually have to drive and fix and live. Kind of like an automatic watch versus a battery operated one. You have to think

I love this quote... don't worry, you'll get to do A LOT of this... It's kindda fun actually. Just don't get too frustrated or "rush" things. When doing something, do it right. And it will treat you right...

Heh heh,
Adam C. will be with you in just a moment. LOL There not necessary for this car, most of us just keep the car below 3k within a few miles of the house to let any residual heat from spirited runs dwindle off (some even pop the hood) when entering there subdivision) as far as the TT goes they have other features that are nice, but you don't need one.
