Reason I am getting so aggressive here is because there are way too many people here, and in other car areas, that talk stupid *** **** about people's cars for no reason. Now if a car is ghetto rice, that is one thing, but if it is a clean install and paint then people should shut the **** up. Is it really cool to tell someone to their face, or worse yet behind their back, that their RX7 is rice because it has a Veilside kit??? To me that is just being a ****** ********. Personally I don't understand why anyone would want to set their RX7 up to beat the **** out of it around a track, even if the car was designed for it.
Some of us like show, some of us like go, some of us like racing....but I think all i sclear in one aspect for the most part, none of us here have an influence on what the **** this car is 100% FOR!

well said. The veilside sides are definitly not rice, they flow with the car.

OT, but since people brought it up because of Mob's car, people really over-use "rice". It's almost to the point that if you don't like something (even if it's a well designed, fully-functional, and track-proven in Japan) the automatic label is to call it "rice". People feel that Veilside kits are rice, but then again, I've seen Veilside's R34 break the speed record challenge in New Zealand, even beating out Scoot's FD. Veilside makes their kits to maximize downforce while also having a style of its own. I thought rice came about after Honda's starting putting GT-R and Type R emblems on, stupid chinese font stickers and running black steel wheels on the front (even they weren't dragging their stock Civic CX). It's posing in a way. How is Veilside like that?! They back their sh*t up with records at Tsukuba.
It's one thing to not like a kit, which is fine, but definitely you can't call everything out there ricey if you just happen to not like it.

I agree that the word "rice" is definitely overused. Veilside kit and others can look very aggressive and flow with the FDs lines. I think if cleanly installed with the right paint choice, body kits on a FD is uncomparable to other cars - in a league of it's own. It definitely can be overdone with F&TF graphics but to tell somebody that put a lot of work and money into their car's looks that it is ugly is rude. I personally think a bone stock FD (although I love the lines) is pretty plain. Just my 2c

Looks really clean man. The enkies really set it off too. There's a guy locally runing those wheels on a SR20 swapped 240 and I've loved them ever since.
Congrats on the buy and enjoy the car. I'm still looking
Tho I want mine stock
