It has to do with the lighting when you photograph or view the paint with the naked eye.....
PS. looks GREAT!

Front Bumper = OEM 99 Spec
Sides = Apexi Replicas from Chuck at Rotary Extreme
Rear Mudguards = OEM
I'll be applying the Zaino soon and will then be taking much better pics.
For now, enjoy!

Why didn't you keep your Rotary Extreme 99 front end?

Turns out there wasn't that much of a rush, but I'm happy with the end result.

I can't believe I'm gonna say this but I think I like the pics of your car with the stock front end and 99spec spoiler better. Maybe like you said you just need to wax the car etc. because I've always been in love with that first pic in your sig.
I dunno, but this is making me nervous about putting my 99spec bumper on

I like the wing-less look. I'm digging the front end and skirts. But if you repainted the entire car, why not go with a diff color? I'm not hating on the Montego Blue color, but when I respray my car, I'm going with a slightly different shade of red. Looks good anyways! Maybe I'll see this car in person some day.

Thanks for all the kind words, everyone.
Dubulup: I don't see what you're talking about with regard to lip fitment. The lip snaps right into the 99 spec bumper and then is secured with screws.
FD Rey: The thought of a different color entered my mind until I thought about the engine bay. I wasn't willing to have everything pulled out to repaint. When I go 20B, I'll have the entire car repainted probably some type of "electron" blue with flares like David Hayes's car has.
Stangkilr: I ended up letting my bumper go to someone else. Sorry.
Weaklink: I don't have any pictures directly from the sides. I'll be sure to get some more in a week or so after the Zaino.
Two of the couplers came loose on the dyno today. I think the body shop messed with the position of the FMIC slightly creating this problem. I've been wanting to get the IC piping redone anyways because of some awkward bends on the side leading to the elbow. I think these bends were causing excess restriction which helped the pipes blow off easier. I watched a video of the runs and saw the "L" shape push backwards for 2-3 seconds before the pipe pulled out from the coupler.

It's nice to see what my car would look like if I had the money/time to get done to it what I'd like. 99Spec front end and Apexi Sides, already have the mudguards for the rear
I think it looks great wingless but am glad to hear you might switch those rims out. They're too "Classy" and busy, and the lack of a lip kills the look even further.
I bet any set of 5-spoke, 2-3" lip'd Alloy rims will REALLY set the car off. I want pics when that happens, because then it'll be a prime example of an ideal setup for my car someday...
