FD01-61-213B block to firewall coolant line question (driver side)

Is there supposed to be a plastic adapter fitting that goes on the hard line from the block (below the spark plugs towards the firewall) and connects to the coolant hose which attaches to the firewall. I can't find this part in the shop book, it looks as though the line is supposed to connect directly to the hard line. I can't tell if this is some jerry rigged part from the guy who had the car before me or a mazda part, either way it is spewing coolant out as fast as I can put it in.

There is a plastic desconnect from the factory .I do not use them , put the hose onto the metal tube with a good clamp.I do not use wormscrew clamps as they eat into the hose . If you are leaking check the metal tube for rust holes or other damage and replace the rubber hose with a new one .

The part number for the plastic quick disconnect is:

B455-61-240A

As Garco Motorworks said you can put the hose directly on the harline if you wish. I've done it both ways but found the hardline slightly smaller than the hose, so I got a better fit by using it.

It seems you weren't able to locate the hose itself either and asked for the part number a few days ago. These items are part of the heater system and are in the Body Parts manual, page 3-C 4

^ IIRC there's a metal clip snapped onto the plastic quick disconnect. Remove that and the plastic part should then pull straight off the block.
