FD rear suspension help...

So my 1994 FD rear end / suspension... it all seems to pop and it feels like it moves from one side to the other when I am turning. I have been driving with this for a good bit now and am fed up with it. It's time for bushings of some sort... Thoughts? Who do you recommend for bushings for the rear of the car? Does anyone make kit's for our beloved FD's? Or is this a fairly common problem with FD's?...

Do you have a clunking sound coming from the rear? Worn out pillowbalsl in the rear are a very common problem wiht the FD.

About the movement from the rear, I had pretty violent movement at 60+mph and after putting the car on a lift, I found out a few of the suspension arms' bolts were loose. It was pretty scary while driving and I was glad I found the problem before something really bad happend.

Have you even bothered to look at what a complete pillowball replacement cost?

You might need to sit down before I tell you...

Tow link bushing $237.40

lower contraol arm $459.12

upper control arm $511.38

Trail arm bushing is not sold seperate, you have to buy a new arm , pair of arms $544.50

Mazdaspeed diff bushings $180.00

12 dust seals $98.88

Do the math.... $2031.28 in mazda parts alone

12 dust seals $98.88

Then add in the labor to press out all the bad bushing/pillow ***** and install the new ones... More $$$

and then the labor to install them if you want someone else to do it...

I had my pillowballs replaced at about $52 or $54 (forgot the exact cost) a piece for the parts.

Japan2LA is offering a lot of other pieces and his deal is pretty good for items that you'll want to replace evetually.

Where can you get ur pillow ball bushings for 52 a pop with dust seals? Heck even Ray @ malloy cant even do it at that price. I believe it was close to 59 last time I've checked with him NOT including dust seals.

You might be able to get Mazda Speed Competition bushings for way less.
At lease back in 1999 you could. I have them in mine. The steel inner sleave is about twice as thick as stock and the rubber is harder.
