:rlaugh: I am 51 and a childish adult!!! I have many cars but the FD is my favorite. My wife won't even get in the car with me because I drive it like a maniac (18 year old). LOL :rlaugh:

FD3Smaniac 01-01-08 11:48 PM

19 paid for it all myself, while balancing a kid, and two businesses

McCoy_III 07-27-09 06:30 PM

eyecandy 07-27-09 07:14 PM

25, bought my T2 in 03 at the age of 20, built it, sold it, 8months later bought a 93 Base never looked back!

yourmom23 07-27-09 07:42 PM

Bought my car when i was 21 not knowing much about rotories. In the past two years have made my own v mount, and rebuilt my motor myself thanks to the mazda trix video and kyle mohan. This car can suck sometimes but always pays off at full boost:rolleyes:

BonesZ33 07-27-09 07:48 PM

got it at 21.. i am now 22

Battle Cat 07-27-09 08:12 PM

1QWIK7 07-27-09 08:15 PM

Got my FD at 21.

Im 26, turning 27 this december.

Its a lifetime project. I dont foresee myself selling it ever or realisitically anytime in the near future, 5-10 years at least.

Devlian 07-28-09 12:37 AM

27 got her about a week ago, rebuilt the tranny to find out the tranny is shot so I'm buying a used jdm to slap in there, Don't care if she nickle an dimes me the rest of my life, thats why i have jars full of nickles an dimes.

WaachBack 07-28-09 01:09 AM

I am 25. Bought the 7 when I was 20 with my own money I earned working a side job in college. I had been wanting the car since I was 16.

AzEKnightz 07-28-09 01:23 AM

bought the car when i was 19 knowing nothing about cars. Now 23, just recently started rebuilding the engine and medium street ported with all OEM seals. Will be fabricating my own V-mount and dual oil cooler set up with ducting.

Loving it every moment even though it is making my wallet skinny!

amunoz3 07-28-09 02:08 AM

20 had the car since 19. I think ive been the best owner for the car since i bought it, have invested 30k into the car. so thats one more for the punk kids haha. Business owner my first car was a 914 porsche and the fd was the first non-porsche car i have bought.

bryant 07-28-09 07:49 AM

the old guy in here 31, fd for 5 years fc 3 years

squealy 07-28-09 08:33 AM

30, and new to the FD last year. Always wanted one, finally got one!

Had it brought up from texas, got screwed by the dealer with a blown engine, and almost put me off the project altogether! Now that it's rebuilt, I have no idea what I was thinking when I was going to pack it in!

bryant 07-28-09 08:39 AM

sorry you got screwed. after my experience with my car i dont trust anyone for there word when it comes to a rotary.

Speeder165 07-28-09 09:22 AM

44 & unemployed here. Have a `83 with a Cartech Turbo system which loves eating V8s, `85 GSL-SE ( DD) & my beloved `94 which is up on jacks right now with a new motor going in her. That `94 drives like no other car I have ever driven. If it was an average driving, good looking sports car, I would have sold it by now to pay some bills.

arghx 07-28-09 07:10 PM

Up and Coming - 20 years old

staticguitar313 07-30-09 01:18 AM

Sure "up and coming" whatever you want to call it: 23 and owned 4 FC's prior to owning my FD. I mention that because I believe owning and working on an FC should be a pre-requisite to buying an FD.

Chris_V 07-30-09 01:54 PM

21 up and comer

24 now. bought my FD at 20 after my 1st tour in iraq. got a purple heart (got shot in the leg), went to iraq twice, married, divorced, been blown up 6 times with swelling in left side of my brain. so technically im about 43 years old now lol

somchhir1 07-30-09 08:06 PM

33 and I've owned 2 FD's since 1996.......

Laz93RX7 07-30-09 08:11 PM

26. 27 in sept. have had my 2 FDs, one for 1 year the other I've had for 5 years.

Ceylon 07-31-09 02:15 AM

21 - Had her just over a year.

wolf_9782 07-31-09 03:02 AM

26, hitting 27 in sept.

ive owned my FD for about 2 years, its been one hell of an adventure. i can now say with the utmost confidence that any mechanical failure that occurs i can easily shrug it off after owning this demon. you just can't help but quote Jack Burton "what the hell" and continue the addiction.

rotorooter93fd 07-31-09 03:31 AM

23. I bought my first one when i was 16 in my sophmore year of high school and saving every last cent i got it running senior year. I just purchased my 3rd fd chassis a few months ago for the 20b project. I cant imagine not owning one of these monsters.

bmwm3rx7 08-05-09 11:50 PM

32 here. I have mine for almost 10 yrs. on my third engine, overhaul in progress, but can't wait to get it back on the road.

Meiogirl 08-06-09 12:06 AM

36 on my second FD. I'm an old fart! I have thatand the dog wagon/people mover ;)

I've lived around 7s in one fashion or another, my dad had an 85 GSL. First manual car I learned to drive at 14. My bestfriend had an 88 vert, lots of skipping school.
When the FD came out I was graduating high school. My plan was to buy a nice used car after college, pay it off and get an FD.
