I found Type RM in parts diagrams but nowhere online could I find a description of a Type RM or it included in any trim list. Only other people saying they have a Type RM and asking for details.

I've searched high and low. Still no detail of a RM anywhere other than parts fiche. For anyone interested, here is a really good list that covers most (all?) of the japanese trims. You should use chrome with translation on, or another way to translate.

Looking through Japanese FSM's. The "F125-1CO" designation on the lower left. F125 is associated with the Type R trim.
I was able to confirm this with pictures from other data plates found online, and other FXXX numbers. The F122 in the original top post is a Type R2, even though the Type R2 designation isn't present on the sticker.
The 16" wheels were standard and 17" wheels were optional on this year Type R. 4 Seat was standard and 2 was not optional. Maybe the "M" is to denote this one had 17" wheels? I dont have a way to translate the PDF and cant copy the kanji but maybe there's something there.

Grade Type R2?
Anyone maybe know if that means anything? I'll attach a picture of the sticker.
Thanks.

The most concise spec level feature summary for every JDM model I've seen is this: RX7.net.nz
The most accurate information on build numbers (for version V and version VI models that is) is based on a manual review of every single VIN, here: GTR-Registry.com - Mazda RX-7 FD3S Series 8 VIN Table
