FD drivers.... what's your daily driver?

2000 Honda Civic DX is my daily. It is way louder than my 7, and right now is the same speed (turbos are giving me trouble on the 7). It runs a 16 sec. 1/4 mile (not bad for a 1.6 non-vtech). Oh, the selling factor is that it gets 35 miles/gal on avg.

Mazda Rx7 = awesome performance/style, marginal fuel economy and not very reliable.
Honda = very reliable, highly economic, usually low performance until you start gutting it, and then still its perfrormance pales in comparison to the 7.

By Europe standards Hondas are quite fast (especially the VTEC models). Usual cars around here are around 1.6L and 100hp with 10sec to 60mph By US standards Hondas are weak yes... you have 4x less expensive gas then we do, so you can drive all that 5.0L cars

Winter, or raining, or shopping - 2001 Nissan Pathfinder (yes, it's a SUV - stay outa my way or I'll crush you ;-)
Economy mode - 89 Yamaha DT200 (a hoot in city or off road)
Play mode - 93 RX-7 (the lawbreaker)

My FD was my daily driver for 6 years until I finally bought a 2002 Civic SI last year for those days when the 7 is "down". I regret it now more than anything. Not only did my car insurance double, but it's just something I don't enjoy driving. And the mileage sucks because of the short *** final drive ratio - 60mph is like 3200 rpms! I never noticed that while test driving but it sucks ***. Going on long trips, cruising at 4500rpms while still getting passed and doing less than 20 mpg. I'm selling it soon. I can see why nobody buys that car - no wonder I got such a good deal on it.

The FD....
The 98 SVT Cobra daily-driver... (I bite my tongue when everyone starts bagging on "mullet-headed" Mustang drivers. )
The 89 600 Ninja (only 11k miles!)...
Thank God all paid in full! Insurance is $1360/year for all three.

my daily driver is my 93 FD! Try not to put a lot of miles on the car, but its just so damn fun to drive! Hopefully I'll be buying this old messed up car from across the street of my friends work. We'll see if I can buy it for really cheap since its been sitting there for 4 years and its got stuff piled on it with spider webs under it. I'm gonna make it a project car but my daily beater as well lol. I will probably end up installing an S13 SR20DET redtop with an S15 top end into it for the engine and drivetrain. I'll get some pictures of it at some point.

Only at freeway speeds (75-85). Because of the short final drive ratio, in 5th it's about 1100 rpms per 20mph so 80 mph is 4400 rpms! IT SUCKS! They should've used the final drive ratio from the rsx but instead they used the one from the civic type R. What really really sucks though, is they then made 1st and 2nd gear long to get the 0-60 times down. The gear ratios are the biggest problem with the car.
Just to compare, my company car is a 2002 Civic lx and at 80 it's not quite 3000 rpms.
