a bulletin tells you how to fix the car, so yes. however it does not extend the warranty, and its not a recall, so you would need to pay for it.

the ending vin is 210508, which is some way into 94, so if you had a 95 or a car built after 210508, then you already have the upgrade.

Question

Going to pull the trigger on a new trans for a fresh build and now see a "Zenki" option on rhdjapan?

16" wheel should have 0.806 5th gear
https://www.rhdjapan.com/mazda-oem-5...inch-fd3s.html

17" wheel version should be 0.763 5th gear
https://www.rhdjapan.com/mazda-oem-5...inch-fd3s.html

Zenki version should be 0.719 5th gear??

That's kind of mislabelled on RHDjapan's part there. Zenki will be 0.806, as will the 16" wheel version. The 17" wheel version will be 0.763.

I just bought the Zenki 17" wheel version. Comes fully assembled, includes the TO bearing with grease in the proper places. And even comes filled with transmission fluid.

What part number did you purchase? RHDJapan shows three versions as I posted above so I am trying to figure out which 5th gear ratio is in each. They show Zenki and 17" wheel version as two separate...
