Exhaust: Thinking about running 2 Magnaflow mufflers

Any thoughts on what the car would sound like with a DP, MP with a 3" Magnaflow and a CB with 3" into dual 2.5" large body Magnaflow muffler?

I'm currently running a DP, MP with a 3" Magnaflow muffler, and an ancient Trust CB. I love the way it sounds. Mellow and deep when cruising, get on it and it gets attention without being obnoxious. Problem is the Trust canister is pretty well shot (and I hate the 5" tip). I'd like to retain the current tone and moderate volume levels. The Greddy SP has crossed my mind, but it's single tip. The Magnaflow would be less then 1/2 the cost and I have my choice of tips.... but the million Turkish Lira question, what is it going to sound like?
Ya, I know, Racing Beat, Racing Beat, Racing Beat. Heard them, and realy like them, but I'm looking for something a little different.

by the time you get a cat back fab'ed up it might be more or almost expensive as an aftermarket cat back. the piping cost the welding cost the muffler and shiping cost and tip cost...if you like a unique style how about the apexi N1 duals? they definitely have a unique sound. and not many people have them.

The piping and brackets cand be recycled from my exsisting catback and the welding is free . The muffler + tips cost around $200.
I've heard the N1's on a car with a cat and didn't like the tone. I imagine it would be obnoxiously loud with a MP. Thanks for the input.

It's basically the exact system I have except I'm running a dual 3" tipped Magnaflow. The sound is pretty sweet. Kinda mellow toned,.. but roars like a sum-bish at WOT. Great product. really nice polished S/S at a price that'll save you mucho benjy's compared to some of the other aftermarket mufflers!!

Sounds promising. Do you have any sound clips?

splitting a single exhaust into dual actually causes more backpressure than just leaving it a single pipe.

i plan on making my own catback using two magnaflow mufflers also. i have the dual n1 now and it sucks. the acosta 20b rx-8 has 3 magnaflows on it and sounds awesome. i hope the 2 quiets my car down.

Not too loud? Would you compare that pipe to the RB dual (as in noise level)?

2 mufflers? that's nothing new to ol skool folks running bridgeport, periph, aggressive streetport. even w/ turbo also. and they do run the magnas or the dynomax

yeah, it will definitely quiet it down
