water/water wetter has been proven, evans is still a bit iffy since it hasn't been around for long and i doubt many FD owners feel like being guinea pigs, that is my take on the subject.

You are correct that the Evans will run hotter than water/WW. Which works better at keeping the engine temps under control Im not real sure.
I have been running about 75% water and 25% coolant with water wetter for about 2 years now. I switched over to this when I bought the car and have never had any overheating issues.

you have the right idea, evans seems to run hotter but also has a higher boiling point, and i don't think you need to pressurize the system, as for water wetter + water: it seems to run cooler but with the presssurized system, hoses are more likely to burst? do a search, several lengthy threads on this topic

The evans does have a higher boiling point, but even with water/ww if your boiling it, your cooking your motor and seals right along with it, so an even higher boiling point wouldnt really help you out.

being in california, we get very hot temperatures here and especially under track conditions...with that being said, i'm a firm believer in Redline's water wetter- I use it religiously.

There is nothing iffy about it.
Many rotary owners have been using it succesfully for years and years.
What is not to like about a zero pressure coolant system that more effectifiley eliminates hotspots and reduces water pump cavitation.
I've been running Evans for about 5 years with no ill effects.

The engines do run hotter but only by a few degrees, maybe 5. This was shown by a test in Grassroots and has been repeated all over.

The only complaints I have about the stuff is the lack of availability and the price.

Water wetter does not have as high a boiling point, does not reduce hotspots as well and will still boil over if overheated. It is better than just plain ol' water and coolant though.

I have also been running Evans. I had it put in during my last rebuild, and no aggravating side effects yet. Once the car is at temp, the needle never moves. Even when running it WOT I haven't ever noticed any increases in temperature at all. I've been very happy with it.

Don't make statements like this unless you have the proof right after it.
I have had no ill effects with ~25% Coolant, ~75% Water and Water Wetter.

this is the most absurd statement i've ever heard. water wetter has been used for a Looong time with rx7s and i'm sure if it cause damage to orings we'd all know and there'd be a sticky on it at the top of this 3rd gen forum.
that being said EVEN IF they damaged STOCK RUBBER BUNA seals that doesn't matter for me because i'm currently using TEFLON encapsuled seals and those baby aren't disintegrating under anything....

do you still have the stock guage? if so, it never moves because the guage is weighted for the middle.
