Enkei RP01: Bye bye???

OMFG!!!
I was just surfing Discounttiredirect.com and looking at the RP01's, considering a purchase... last night they had 18x8.5's, today - only 17x7's!!!!!!

I'm gonna cry... anyone know if this is really true??

I know most RP01 fans are 3rd gen-ers, so I figured better here than in the sus. forum.

if anyone cares - I got so upset that I called Enkei and they confirmed that the RP0-1 is discontinued. They will be introducing the RP02 in the states as the RP02-J in a bit. It looks the same as the RP01. Wanna see it - goto www.enkei.com and click on the Japan site.

as far as the rp02's are concerned, what are the wieghts and durability of the construction? The size I want is about $315 which beats just about anything else out there as far as price. Anyone have word on these, possibly when they will be out?

I suppose I could call them (Enkei) back and ask when they're out... Anybody interested?

Why would you the RP02 be so expensive when rp01's could be had for $190? Or was that a closeout price?? I was hoping the RP02's would be cheap like their predecessor, otherwise they may be out of the running for a wheel option for me.

I just bought 4 Rpo1,s in 18 x 9.5 all the way around getting them next week, yey.

Enkei corporate sold their last 18x 9.5,s in the last 36 hours, I know because they should have been mine!

I do know a vendor that has two left, that you may be able to get hold of and cobble something together.

Enkei for sure. THe RP02J in the staggered fitment will be here in about 90 days. I just spoke with Enkei and we will begin special ordering these.

The RPF1's are coming in this month however.

Yes, the rpo1s have been discontinued for some time now. I'll be selling my 17" (F17x8 and R17x9)RP01s soon because I just purchased some gunmetal volk GTNS. PM me if you're interested in them.
