Engine spins but won't START!! help.

Thanks for the info.
I read on another thread a post by Mahjik that said to just hold the gas to the floor right when you turn the key.
I did this for like 30sec and bam started up but was struggling and I had to give it some gas to keep it going. There was LOTS of smoke not only from the exhaust but from the engine bay as well. I dont know why but I ran it and it was sputtering and popping and shooting small flames for about 5 mins and then it smoothed out and I let it sit for about 20 min and while it was sitting there it sounded good. I was happy to get it going again and I have to thank the people on here for the help.
Now if only you guys could fix my transmission.....

Thanks Again

Well let me know if you guys get it running maybe I can learn something. I haven't got mine running yet but just bought an ignitor and installed it just haven't had time to see if I fixed anything yet so the little mean machine still sits.

Well I got it started!!!
I changed the spark plugs and spark plug wires(trust me don't do the wires if you don't have to. . .), went through the un-flooding steps again and it started up! Idled rough for awhile but now its fine.
Although now I am having another problem, when I give it 1/2 throttle or more while driving it seems to hit a fuel cut? or something and just backs off, I have no idea why. . .
