Engine Rebuild Shopping List..

What would I need to rebuild my engine? I want to rebuild it the cheapest but best way possible. Money isn't really a factor but I kind of want to save some money in the process. I have a 92 JDM FD with 85000k Original. I am pretty much clueless on these engines. I want to learn about them while I rebuild the engine. Can you guys help me out to find out what I need for a complete rebuild and where to find these parts. Thank you so much!

Start by purchasing and watching this video:

http://rotaryaviation.com/overhaul_video.htm

Once you see that, you'll realize you need to take your engine apart, examine what can and cannot be reused, before you can begin a shopping list.

youre going to need of course a video and a hanynes manual at least for reference. partswise youll need full gasket set, apex seals and springs, side seals and springs, corner seals and springs, oil retainer seals and springs, bearings, fuel injector O-ring kit. that is just a rough estimate depending on if the rotating assembly, side housings and rotor housings are within specs. fuel hoses, vaccum hoses ect. ect. ect. I'm in the process of building an engine myself and i spent about 1000 dollars only in the actual block. but all the major components are within specs.

Hey Mahjik,
I am currently or very close to have engine out of the vehicle. Was wondering if the DVD includes any of the manuals for clearly stating the manufacturers specs on wears at the picture shown at Bruce Turrentine's page?

I personally already have the DIY 13B engine overhaul video + porting. I just want to make sure I know all my specs before I start tearing that engine apart. I dont mind spending 30 extra dollar for some valuable information that can be helpful in my rebuild and in the future.

Thanks in advance.

Bruce does go through how to do the measurements for inspecting the parts in his video. However, all of that info is the FSM starting on page C-51. It has all the specs for the engine parts there.
