EGR problem

I am having idel problems when my car goes to open loop. could this be caused by the egr not closing all the way. Have any of you guys ever had any problems with your egr? BTW where is the egr at?

You mean closed loop.

The EGR is located on the front of the lower intake manifold and has a blue harness connector.

You can see the EGR components after you take the upper intake manifold off.

My EGR came with a gasket that blocked one of the passages ... you don't need the thing so just block it off or install a solid gasket.
