Keep an eye on E-Bay, or check with www.corksport.com. No on the airbag.

Check www.thepartstrader.com too. They pop up from time to time. Like jr said, no bag.

Here is a shot of the Nardi Wheel, that has a air bag, installed
It's off of a 99 RX-7. The connectors didn't match up, but it's was easy to find a blown bag to get the proper connector from.

the efini wheel without the airbag is the same size as the stock fd us-spec one. it is really only a cosmetic upgrade, and sacrificing the airbag is a pretty big thing for something that typically goes unnoticed by the non-rx7 fanatic. but i have one and i am proud of it

i got it from jesse lau, he has a lot of jap stuff posted on thepartstrader.com all the time.

if you are talking about the one in sleddriver's car, it is either the re amemiya one or the pettit pod. both of them are pretty costly, and the holes for the us-spec turn signal and wiper ***** dont line up properly. it is the cleanest one out there, and probably the only one i would put in my car.

So basically, the efini and the nardi are the same size as the us one? Darn...I still think I want the new nardi one off the 2002 spirit r. I drove an 02 miata special edition with the nardi wheel and MY GOD! Talk about awesome! That thing is so soft and so grippy. Plus the spirit r has red stiching...all i need is to find one (wont happen) and have lots of money! =] and an rx7 period forthat matter =]

That's the steering column gauge pod. Its a plastic replacement for the top half of the column cover. You can find it at www.rx7store.net under the gauges-pods section. Its over $100 but it is a pretty trick mount.

The one I got (also from Jesse) is maybe an inch smaller in diameter than the stock US wheel. And since I use my car on the track, I don't want an airbag. A lighter wheel is easier to turn, and you don't want a blinding explosive balloon in your face at the wrong time...

If you get a replacement wheel, remember that you should check your sightline to the gauges. The wrong size and you will block your view.
