Efini or flying M symbol?

guys, after I posted some pics of my new 99 spec lip, I think goodfellafd3s suggested i get efini emblems. First question, is it hard to take the original emblems off? What is involved? Also, what are your opinions on the efini emblem or the new mazda one the comes on the 99 7's? Here's the link to my pictures

thanks in advance

If anything, the bird. The efini trend irks me since the spec version was never sold here. At least putting the "new" Mazda symbol on is still making it recognizable as a Mazda and not as some wannabe exotic.

The emblems pop off. I'd put a little masking tape along the edge to protect the paint on the front and pop it off with a 1.5-2" metal putty knife ... but that's me.

Here's my take on it. If you go with the Efini emblem, which I do like, then you're gonna have the other badge that says "RX-7/mazda" on the right side. That seems a little silly. So then you're gonna have to buy an RX-7/efini badge to replace that one. It gets a little tedious explaining what the symbol means, but that's just me.

I think I'm gonna go with the flying M and the RX-7/mazda combo. Partly because they don't make a Montego Efini badge (painting a white one didn't turn out too well , but I guess I could try a black one) and partly because the M looks nice. efini emblems .... hands down

I'vd had people call my car exotic ... and it is faster than some exotics so I hardly think I'm a wanna be by having the efini emblems.

But no one has answered on how hard is it to remove the original emblem. And install the new one...?
Also Where can you see
the enfini emblem?
I do think the new Mazda flying M is pretty
cool and will refresh the front and rear end with a new look...

Emblems are a piece of cake to remove. You can use 2-side tape to put the news one on ... however I don't have a front emblem so I might be a little concerned with this method on the front. The stock emblems have clips that hold them on from the back side. Kind of a pain to do the clips but it might be needed for the front.

I'm partial to the M myself. Let it be known that it is a mazda!

spyfish007, is that your CYM in your avatar? If so, did you paint an Efini badge to match?

That's odd...I have Montego Efini emblems on my car, so they must have made them at one time. For what its worth, I got them from some guy in the UK who advertised for a junkyard that had some wrecked FDs...the ads were on http://www.thepartstrader.com.

Yes that is my car ... I only have one emblem in the rear the rest are shaved. I got the black background one but I'm going to get the red background one before too long. I have to repaint my brake calipers because they are a dull orange now. I bought the car and they were already like that and I just haven't had time to re paint them.
