Double Throttle Solenoid?

Double Throttle Solenoid?
Ok....well, I broke off one of the nipples on my DTS.....now, if I choose to just leave it as is, do I simply cap off the lines that used to run to it? And then eliminate the Double Throttle from my manifold?
I am still on the stock ECU...will that cause any problems? I am running non-sequential, hopefully going stand alone later this year...but for now, what can I do? I have already ordered a new solenoid from another member on here, but I am having a hell of a time getting my rat's nest out of the car. I have removed the top three screws....as well as the front three screws behind the alternator...but I have not been able to get onto the back three screws that face the firewall.....but if I figure out how to get to those, I will still have a hard time getting the nest out because of all the vacuum lines and solenoid clips....so I am debating alternative options until I go single, then I will be able to **** can that entire nest like on my old FD.
This is the first time I actually have tried to fix a problem, outside of simply upgrading to eliminate the problem....and I am beginning to think I should have just ordered a stand alone and just been done with this damn rat's nest. But anyways....if someone could let me know how to go about bypassing that solenoid or giving me some better options on how to remove the nest.
Thanks,
Scott

I broke the nipple off also, but am running a PFC. Later this week I'll be putting in the stock ecu, so I could answer to the stock ecu question then. If I remember correctly, the vacuum routing comes off the front of the uim goes to the solenoid and the from the solenoid through the metal tubing in the rats nest and back to the double throttle. So, merely capping off the uim, is all that is needed, although I capped off the metal tube as well. I believe the ecu does not know whether or not the solenoid is attached to any vacuum lines. The ecu just grounds the solenoid to change its state (open/closed). Any error code associated with the solenoid is most likely electrical in nature.

You can remove it with the stock ECU. You'll either need to leave the solenoid connected or probably add a resistor to remove it:

Scott, Do you have any left over solenoids from when you went non-seq? I just recently spent days on the uim/rats nest area. Removing the Double throttle plates was a real pain in the ***. I was thinking you could use any solenoid and that would work fine...

There are three 12mm bolts that can be removed that will make the rats nest come out nice and easy. If you're gonna leave the stock ECU in there, just leave the solenoid plugged in and cap off all of the hoses going to it. You'll need to cap the nipple on the front side of the UIM that feeds the bottom of the solenoid.

The ones you can eliminate (if you don't care about emissions):
Fuel pressure regulator control (you'll still pass emissions without this one)
Switching 1
Relief
EGR
Double throttle control (you'll still pass emissions without this one)
The ones that must be kept:
Wastegate Control
Turbo Precontrol
Turbo Control
Charge Control
Charge Relief

Man, I was almost positive that running non-sequential on a stock ECU could not be done. Does anybody else know for sure?
