seems to be diff blowing season mine went out yesterday as well, i never launch my car but out on some private property and I decide why not. Well I learned why my fears about my car breaking are real. As Muibubbles forced upgrades.

Is there a write up on the S4 Turbo II swap somewhere? Searched but haven't found anything.

 

you get another fd housing but put the diff from inside the tII into it

 

really you can attribute it to the tire swap even though at some point with that powertrain its inevitable,im going to go with 255 or 265 in the rear so hopefully the torque off my LS1/T56 combo is absorbed by some amt of tire spin,at least thats my theory cause i sure cant afford the 8.8 swap rt now

 

i dont think it would of,look how brittle that alum case appears,maybe it wouldnt have large gaping holes in it though,lol

 

the case is cast iron, at least that is the portion that actually fails first. but these diff's aren't made for that kind of abuse.

 

Had a friend do the exact same thing last weekend at the drag strip. Too much POWa!!!

Those Hankook RS-3's are really sticky tires. I had Mickey Thompson ET Street Radials and swapped to smaller RS-3's and had better traction. Those diff cradles are looking better and better.

dammmmmm. the pfs diff girdle works great. if you stay with the factory diff i would definfitely invest in one. they are about $350
