I guess a 930 turbo is a rice car then.

or closer to home, the IMSA GT cars any of them, or street cars that try to emulate them with similiar mods. yep all rice huh.

Sorry capn, your definition of rice surely doesn't match most. Tubs and inboard suspension for street car (that's not a drag car)? Better get used to this view of a riced out seven I think

DK, well that's one way of looking at it but don't forget the VIP treatment on race days and the TKT newsletters! (insert sarcasm smiley here!). Most people have always warmed to the boutique or tuner auto concept thus AMG MB's, Shelby Cobras, etc. I just thought Pettit's Banzai / TKT program was kinda' cool like that.

OOh capn' there's another rice car for ya the Cobra! Huge *** add on flares! They even stuffed a different engine in it!

The right way to do this on a really clean street car is by tubbing the wheel wells and bringing the suspension inboard not just the fenders outboard. How do I know this to be true? They have a pair of these fenders hanging in the International Museum of Rice. Wide bolt on fenders on a race car, not rice. Wide bolt on fenders on a nice other wise clean street car, full rice.
Wrong, If you noticed the tires and suspension remain intact just as mazda intended so the handling will not be upset (just better grip in the back). If you tubbed the rear you would throw off the handling of the car and all you would have is a drag set up....stupid

Pettit's 3 rotor handles really well in a AutoX. I have seen him in the runs and the only reason that he didn't do better is cuz he gets lost in the cones.

I'm pretty sure the 3 rotor and the GT car uses the same size rims cuz i heard him say that the Banzai's tires can be used as the GT car's rain tires.

My two bits: I've been to Pettit and seen the flares. Don't care too much for the bolted on look, BUT Cam showed me a car that had the flares molded to the car. To accomplish this, he had to move the fuel door back a bit. The car looked FANTASTIC. Kind of like an RX7 on steriods. I'm very much a stock/stealth guy and I have to amit, my jaw dropped. Move over Porsches, you've met your maker! This is high on my priority list for a modification. FYI - the rims that fit the flares are 12'' and bad to the bone.

This and a 3 rotor = heaven!
