Lightbulb Do you want lower gas prices?

Hi all

I thought Id post here because I own a 3rd gen and know most of you... Anyways, I just received an email for the second time about how to lower gas prices and I still have not seen the prices decrease...

Exxon and Mobile are the largest gas companies in the world and control gas prices... Example: When they raise the prices every other gas company follows... When the lower prices every other gas company lowers there prices...

If you want lower gas prices BOYCOTT EXXON MOBILE!!! We all need gas and we cannot fool ourselves into thinking we will stop buying gas.... BUT,,,,, We can choose not to buy Mobile and Exxon.... Buy whatever gas that is not Mobile Exxon.... Buy Hess, Shell, BP, Sunoco, etc.

Don't buy Exxon Mobile until prices come down to about $1.30.... Some of you probably think this is to low because you are so use to high gas prices...

Here is a clue! Exxon Mobile is now the worlds largest Company in the world they even dethrowned Walmart....... Don't keep feeding them money and taking food out of your mouths....

Copy and paste this to a mass emailing and foward this to everyone on your email list and post this on other forums.... We are the nations car comunity and these prices are hurting us all..... We can make a difference!... Just like the huge meets that have been put together through the power of the internet... The power of the internet and the car comunity will bring Gas prices down!

DON'T BUY MOBILE EXXON!!!

or sell your third gen!

The theory constructed by the author of that chain mail is grossly flawed. How is buying all gas from a certain supplier going to reduce overall demand (which is really what effects price)? Instead we'd just create another dominant firm like Exxon Mobile.

If you really want to effect gas prices be smart. Get a daily driver that gets good mpg, carpool, take public transportation, take alternative means of transportation, etc... Those are all actions that effect demand and that can effect price. Don't fool yourself into thinking that buying from an alternative supplier is going to lower prices.

This is how to lower prices.... It's not just buying from one supplier. It's buying from many other suppliers except Exxon Mobile... Remember Exxon Mobile are the largest and influence prices on smaller gas compaines...

BOYCOTT EXXON MOBILE!!!

No, OPEC influences prices...

And if you actually think that gas prices will fall to $1.30 if we follow this plan then you're delusional, especially with India and China increasing their demand for petroleum.
