Personally, I prefer a more stock looking FD as well. I had a body kit on my previous car, and I really wished at the time that I didn't get it.

I see where you're cumming from Kai. Stockbody is hotness, but its no where near what you got now. Which means you're ready for another FD.

Thats why I have 2 But yes I do miss the sock body on my silver car. If you paint the hood, you might be surprised how much better it looks.

I think the FD looks good in stock form but the right body kit make sit so much more.

Kits like the Burnout kit, Sanai, Mazdaspeed etc... they look so sleek that you would think it was a factory option or the highest spec of the car being offered.

Like Porsche has the 997 and the GT3 RS let's say...

I like bodykits, as long as they look OEM... I just hope to take my car out for a drive in 10n years or so and don't feel watched being a mid 30's guy in a pimped ride...

I agree, the burnout kit and the mazdaspeed look stock and look great. A lot of others including the one he has in my opinion looks like it should be a hotwheels car or something.

KaiFD3S, if you painted the hood white to match and went back to popups the difference would be so drastic as it is now.

but your front bumper is pretty wild. I like your car better now than before but it sure is clean, hell I miss my FC being all stock body too, sometimes I wish I had just rolled the rear fender lips and went with a wide front fender, shined up the paint and called it a day... oh well.

+1 for the burnout kit but mos def with super wide wheels/tires!

I would do another FD and make it a 3 rotor NA. That is if you have the ***** Kai (feeding the fire for your second car desire). Leave your RE replica alone. She don't want you toying around with her body. She is sexy as it is. I wish my car looked like yours. I'd trade with you any day. Lets trade bumbers for free if you want to go back to stock so bad. HAHA

don't change back. going the way you did is very very unique. but the only thing i would change to give it more of a FD look instead of a RE Time Attack look would be to change the bumper to the RE Ad Facer 9 bumper like the one in the thumb.

I've never regretted going to the 99 spec front. My dad has a red stock-bodied R1, so I get to compare them often. IMO, the 99 looks so much more updated, with sizably larger openings for the oil coolers and radiator.

Kai, I think your car looks stunning, i wouldn't listen to some of the more ignorant views in here. If anything, pick up a second FD

Kai,

Don't stop at 2 FDs.. get 3 or 4..

1 with V8
1 with 99+ body
and 1 with 20B.

I thought about this but then I can't even put one together.. LOL!

Why is my view considered ignorant? My view is probably what the majority of car people think in the states. He asked for my opinion, if you dont like it that's fine, but it is in no way ignorant.

I think the shape of the stock 93 bumper is great. i love the 99 spec lights, but I don't like the built in license plate holder, but I also think it looks kinda funny with it removed. So stock it is...for now
