You might want to think about using a wideband to check your afr after you do the mods. You might be running lean and ping the motor. I usually tell everyone to collect the parts you want and do the install all at once. Nothing like dumping $1000 in parts just to have to spend another $2000 for a new motor installed. You just have to use your own judgment.
Also, just to clear this up,
CPU is what controlls functions such as lights, alarm, and locks..........
ECU is the engine /fuel managment system of the car.
