Difference in sound between RX7store resonated midpipe and Pettit resonated Midpipe?
#26
just to chime in.... i switched from a petitt hi-flow cat to a rx7store resonated midpipe and the sound was quieter and less "farty". Overall the car sounds alot like cars do in tunnels/underpasses, except all the time. A deep roar is how i best describe my exhaust.

a magnaflow resonated midpipe with restrictor plates? should work fine, just keep an eye on the boost. birds will fall dead from the sky as you drive past, and you may shoot flames too

lol at the cologne. my eyes went thru hell the first couple of months that i went catless. but it was the single best mod that i have done.
Anways, i currently have the pettit mp with rb dual on my car. i have actually had a few different setups. Initially i had a regular un-resonated mp and apexi n1 dual. the sound was absolutely ridiculous. terible! i then switched to rb dual and had the straight mp still. it was still too loud. I then switched to the pettite resonated and the rb dual and am pretty happy with the way the car sounds now. Anyone that says the pettite resonated mp doesnt quite things down hasnt owned both. At idle and cruise the car is fine. once the secondary comes on its a whole different animal. thats just the way i like it!
additionaly the only time that i felt alittle difference in rwhp was when i switched the exhaust themselves not the mp;s. the apexi appeared to flow alittle better and the car felt alittle quicker. of course that could simple be perspective as the n1 was a **** load louder. what i piece of **** that exhaust was. it looks nice but def not my style.

I need to try the RX7store mp, but I'm not in a big hurry to crawl back under the car

if you have a Power FC, you should be able to tune that out
since tuning for mid 15s at tip in, I'm amazed at the decrease in "smoot" on the rear fender....very little compared to my previous set-up

The bulk off the cost/time is in getting the damn twins off and back on the car......
bryan at www.bnrsupercars.com can also port the wg for you or he can weld in a large 35mm orifice, you'll never have to worry about boost creep again
